I may be bragging but I just gotta show yas all how EvEm update their site.

Since the site is database driven clan members can add pages to the site by filling out a form in through their browser. The database automatically categorises it in the right section and keeps track of the date last modified for display on the home page. Here are some screenshots, check it out:

Of course it's password protected :)

Here's the admin site that gives us access to all the articles on the site.

Each article has a form we fill in. Here's the top of it where we fill in its title, what section it goes under in the site and if we want it appearing as a 'Regular Feature' on the site.

We scroll down and In this part we can make it appear on the site; "public" or keep it in the database but off the site; "private". We also fill in the author, the introduction and the content. We can code html into the content field but it's not necessary for just text.

These last 2 shots show how we upload images. These are stored as attachments to the document. The form calculates the html tag and we can copy and paste it into the content field.

Well that's it. Cool eh? This is all we have to do: just add or modify pages. All the rest of the site, the homepage, the index pages are all dynamic and driven by the database. We don't have to touch them at all unless we want to change the appearance or something. Here's what the homepage looks like in the database application we use to program the site (Lotus Notes):

It has 2 parts:

1. The display template:

2. The listing of documents:
