Yes the moldy old Perth Clans 'page' is growing up and becoming a whole site all of it's own. Yes, I thought i could make the Link Exchange into something befitting my original idea for it instead of the weak single page that it is now. Here are a few features of the new site:
1. Clan Pages
Each clan can register online and get a username and password. With this they can create their own 'page' within the Link Exchange site. This will include details such as; description, members, war availability, prefered MOD, current activities, clan logo/banner upload and so on. This is achieved all through filling in a form in your browser window. You do it yourself ! By doing this you get your own page with the above details, your logo, a link to your existing web site and a personalised contact form for other players to contact you.
2. Common news/Clan news
There will be two news sections. First the common news section probably on the home page that is open to all to add to and second a clan specific news section on your clan page that only you can add to (with the option of also displaying it in the common news section). This way you can post war results and so on on your own page.
3. Opponent Finder
Because the site is database driven, you'll be able to search for an opponent based on criterion you specify. For example you'll search for clans that prefer LMCTF and are available on Tues and Thurs nights from 7pm and play at iinet MOD. The site will return a list matching those criterior and a link to the contact page of each so you can issue the challenge !!

The beauty of this site is that you don't have to email me with any changes or content you want. You guys do it yourselves and the changes happen instantly :) WILD!!
I also hope to contact elbow and Stomp of JAG and have a reciprocal arrangment with the clan ladder site. This would mean you can indicate if you are a member of the ladder and if so then a link would appear on your site linking to your record on the ladder site. If not you can fill in a form and it'll get sent to the ladder site asking for registration.
I hope to have it all up and running within the next 2 weeks (cross fingers). If you have any suggestions/comments please email them to me...
