What the fuck is going on with TF2? EvEm and no doubt others have been anxiously awaiting the release of TF2, but this is like a kick in the teeth.

Yes I know I said I'm pissed off , but read this review, TFII sounds awsome! boo hoooooo :(

Can you fucking believe it !?!?!?! TF2 will be an add-on for Half-Life !!! Read this:

"Well, as many of you have guessed, the rumors circulating around that TF 2 would be built on the Half-Life engine are true.

We had been evaluating all of the different engines as the basis for TF 2, and we decided that Half-Life was hands down the best choice given what we wanted to achieve with the game. In March we moved to Seattle to begin working with Valve. Towards the end of April, Valve approached us with an offer to join the two companies. We saw this as a very positive step for TF Software and the chance to make TF 2 even better than we had hoped.

We believe without a doubt that TF 2 will be a better game as a result. Half-Life's extensibility is unmatched by any existing first person action game, and you'll experience that extensibility firsthand when you play TF 2.

Working along side Valve has been extremely beneficial. By working hand-in-hand with the developers creating the base engine, we can finally achieve many of the things we wished we could have with TF 1. The resources that Valve now offer us will also allow us to create a much more polished product.

If you haven't seen screenshots of Half-Life yet, I urge you to head on over to http://www.contaminated.net/ and take a look. Make sure you check out the images of the outdoor barricades defended by the squads of marines. The modelers and skin artists behind those images are now behind TF2, so you can expect similar quality in all of its models.

We'll be releasing info up until TF 2's release, so you'll finally get to hear about all those classes, weapons, and maps you've been waiting for. We've still got some surprises in store for you yet!

When we began TF 1 we had no idea where it would take us. The TF Community helped us a great deal with their suggestions, comments and bug reports. But it was the people who donated to us who gave us the confidence we needed to be able to produce a commercial quality product. We look forward to repaying you with TF2! Robin, John, and Ian. "

Man is there anyone out there as pissed off as I am ? What a gip. Looks like that's the last we'll see of Team Fortress in Perth. There's just not enough users to support a hal-life server running TF2. Don't they know Quake2 is the most ultimate game in the universe and demands their respect..!?!?!

I think I'm going to sit in a corner and mope...

"TeamFortress Stuff It looks like the TeamFortress time has finally found a home for their mod, as they were bought by Valve Software recently. This of course means that TeamFortress will be developed as a commercial addon pack for Valve's game, Half Life. Check Quake2Fortress.com for the full story. After you go there drop by Det5.com for some interesting TF2 discussion."

"Yeah, I just got 3 files in the mailbag from Ian over at TFS. Apparently, its all good and official on Valve buying TFS, so for a "quote-end-quote", here we go:"
