Well, I had a great time playing in the duel comp at GW and got further than I thought I would which was nice. My first match was a wipeout and I thought I'd fucked it for the whole match. That was until I found out it was a double elimination match and had a second chance :)
Second game was against Rebem of all people who told me in a pre-match briefing that he was resorting to a new tactic that involved 10 minutes of crotch grabbing. Needless to say he lost :)
I was dueling with Tool next and after a tense 10 minutes I won 4 - 2
Next in line was BeasiL. This was a nail biting game that ended up 2 all. This mean't we ran into 5 minute overtime which ended at 0 all. Another 5 minute overtime session saw me frag myself putting the score at -1 to 0. Somewhere I picked up a frag which leveled the scores and then in the last 10 seconds I scored the winning frag
Facet was my next opponent and another nail biting time saw me win with 4 - 0 ( facet removed his only frag all by himself :) )
I then found myself in the scary territory of the top 6 players. "WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING HERE???" was my main thought at the time. The other 5 players included Dalai Lama, The Beast and Eclipse who was my next opponent. I started the final match with a positive outlook - yeah I'm gonna go for it! YEAH FUCK YEAH!! .....oh shit and the smile quickly went and was replaced by maniacle laughter as I was consistantly railed by Eclipse, and fragged by myself :) the final score: -1 to 16 DOH!!!
But I did get him once! That all important 'Pride Frag' YESSSSS!
