DroneBot
I was steered towards this site by [PnC]_StresS. Not surprising: he made the site ! But i was surprised to read about this bot project by a team of local players.
In their own words:
"The DroneBot will be the first Quake ][ computer controlled DeathMatch and CTF opponent to rely on the same skills as a human being. Like you and I and other players on the Internet, it will navigate, move, hunt and kill by using it's sight and hearing, offering an Artificial Intelligence more closely resembling that of human beings and therfore offering a more fulfilling Multi-player bot experience!"
Now I haven't played with this bot yet but I will get EvEm's resident bot tester, Rebem, right on it.
I looks like it has some groovy features:
 - Full client emulation - scoreboard, footsteps, the works. No useless monster code included - smaller download for you!
- True vision-oriented hunt and attack mode - unlike other bots it will not know exactly where you are.
- Built-in support for several plug-in models.
- Support for plug-in models with multiple skins! - Auto-detected!
- Auto-detected intrinsic menu system. No more memorising hundreds of console commands.
- Automatic corner voidance. No routing tables - the bot finds it's own way around the level using it's vision.
- Basic bot chatting.
- BotCam tm - no other bot has one!
- Built-in scanner - thanks to Yaya.
- Grappling Hook support - thanks to Perecli Manole for releasing his code.
- Tries to shoot down incoming rockets - (he's still a shocking aim.)
