Muzmans New PC
I think the site is crying out for some screens or something, which gives me a chance to introduce the behemoth (-ominous music-) and its opengl glory.
It had to be all Q2 pics because it's one of the few games where the card can make a dramatic difference to something other than speed. Opengl is amazing, the coloured lighting is subtle and looks more like light (as opposed to the V2 drivers which make it look like colour, if you know what I mean). Everyone wants all the features turned off so they
can see their opponents and run the game quicker etc, but if a game aint got the look there's no point as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway, I'm sure in a few months you'll catch me bitching about some LPB with a twin p3 and a TNT2 ultra or something.

No Tex | Hmm, there's gotta be some way to lighten things up just a little bit. hehehe, I wonder if this would be considered 'cheating'. After all, hardly anything else is. | | File Name: notex.jpg File Size: 53.1KB Date: May 14, 1999 - 08:58:29 PM

DM | Time for a play again, still dark. It just takes some getting used to. Anyway, chasecam-ing Kelp is guaranteed to light things up | | File Name: dm.jpg File Size: 65.8KB Date: May 14, 1999 - 08:56:55 PM

Chaos | My Q2 drive died so I had to get all the stuff I had for it off a mate. He still had all the old stuff I gave him months ago and have since got rid of, including Chaos DM. Always wanted to know what a gravity vortex really looked like. | | File Name: chaos.jpg File Size: 54.61KB Date: May 14, 1999 - 08:54:35 PM

Action | I thought I'd have to see how my old favourites went first of all. ActionQ2; Damn it looks good, but damn it's dark. It's interesting to think that this is how it's meant to look. I spent much of that game getting slain, probably by voodoo and software players who see everything clear as day, but I didn't care I was, too busy admiring the ambience. | | File Name: action.jpg File Size: 59.16KB Date: May 14, 1999 - 08:52:11 PM
