#2 / Posted by xmgs / 20030105-03:03:37

mine is P3 667Mhz 256RAM Ge-Force 2 MX400 64RAM..will it work?

#3 / Posted by Xtro / 20030105-06:06:23

Mine is 1733MHz, Yes it will 'work' but get ready for an average of 2 FPS. This thing runs like a dog on any machine really, being an early alpha an' all....

#4 / Posted by xmgs / 20030106-21:09:04

How to see the FPS? mine is running quite good. The Bathroom map (with little changes :)) works without lag, almoust i could say :)

I have amd th 1.2 on 1.4, 256ddr, geforce 3 ti200 overclocked on gf3ti500, my fps is in combat 10 normaly between 20-30. I change detail to high and it looks diferently. In low detail it looks bad, but in high detail wery wery good.BUT!!! Iˇll newer see the maximum detail(as in e3video) because I donīt have a radeon 9700 pro. So I wait fore geforce Fx. My opinion is : doom 3 with 1280x1024, max detail need a 1024mb ram, 512 is not bad but it is not enough.

WHAT ARE THE FULL SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS FOR DOOM III ? , I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW PLEASE SEND ANSWERS TO MY E-MAIL ADDRESS !

#7 / Posted by UAC MARINE / 20030320-04:04:11

Hi, do you think DOOM III ALPHA will run SMOOTH & on maximum quality on 800x600 resolution on this computer.

Specs

AMD-2100+(1733 MHZ), 512 MB DDR & ATI RADEON 9000 PRO 128 MB with Directx 9 & CATALYST 3.1!!!!!!

#8 / Posted by Hunter / 20030324-05:05:09

to answer your question, UAC, no. Everyone is choppy, but when the game comes out you should have the full experience. I got a surround sound system with subwoofer, and I am getting a radeon 9700 non-pro, so I should be able to play the game with most everything on. I got a p4 1.4 ghz, ya, its not top of the line processor, but you dont need a good processor speed as long as you got a great video card.

#9 / Posted by Hunter / 20030324-05:05:26

also, I hope they have a huge mod community for this game like half-life. I can't wait to play a military mod on this, and multiplay mods would kick ass.

Hi guys, I have an AMD 2000+ with 512 MB DDR but Im not shore what card will i need. I saw UAC MARINE has ATI RADEON 9000 PRO 128 MB plus with directX 9. So do you think that RADEOPN 9000 PRO 128 MB & directX 9 will run DOOM III just fine?

#11 / Posted by Michael / 20030329-00:12:43

A RADEOPN 9000 PRO 128 MB would do the job great

#12 / Posted by DOOMGUY / 20030329-07:07:10

Hi michael, thats just grat because ATI RADEON 9000 PRO 128 MB costs only about $99 so thats just grat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#24 / Posted by Dream PC / 20030527-04:04:46

My god, I had played the ALPHA at all details on high and 1600x1200 resolution and it ran 745.7 FPS on my AMD 7000+(7000 MHZ), 1000 MB QDRAM (QUAD RAM) and a WHOOPING POWERCOLOR NAUTILUS 9000 PRO 7770 MB QDDR with exactly life like bump mapping and it has 10000 mhz core speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all what would doom 3 run like on my system:

P4 1.8GHz
512DDR
128MB GeForce FX5200

#27 / Posted by kila / 20030528-15:03:09

I've tried to run the Alpha, but I just get a flashing screen. I even tried to type in the "map e3/e3_1" and it loaded fine, I could hear everything, and I could shoot my gun etc. but my screen was just flashing grey and blue... Anyone know what is wrong??? I have an AMD 1900+ XP, 512 DDR ram, Geforce 4 Ti4600. Thanks.

I have a P166 with 16 ram and a 2MB gpu, can i run Doom 1

#29 / Posted by Raven / 20030528-16:04:20

Doom 3 alpha either has really high system specs, or it is in great need of developing or both.

I have a Dual processor P4 system, running at a total of 5.6GHz. I also have 1GB DDR Ram and a Geforce4 Ti4600

I ran Doom 3 alpha and only recieved average framerates

#30 / Posted by kila / 20030529-13:01:49

Raven - The leaked alpha version is like 0.002, the game is far from optimized for the public. Also your video card is slow compared to the 9700 pro or higher cards, and right now those are the cards that should be used on the current version that we have. With the system you are running now you will run the final version of the game fine. BTW are you running a server, cause if not, that dual processor setup was probably a waste of money if you just play games.
