Marketing To Gamers

Do companies really understand their customers? You really have to wonder about companies who try to sell stuff to the gaming croud. Here's a couple of tragic examples.

Is this how you look? If so then you're a winner according to Logitech. On the Logitech Gaming Center website they've captioned the above image (of a complete looser) thusly:

"so this is how victory feels."

According to them visiting the Logitech Gaming Center will allow you to

"Take your gaming to the next level."

So if you want pre-canned, marketing committee content then go there now! Otherwise sit back and be amused as yet another company's marketing geniuses try in vain to understand the gaming world.

Blockbuster tried the same thing, saw this on Penny Arcade:

As Penny Arcade put it

'Blockbuster to Gamers: "You are all a bunch of fucking rejects!" '
