I've never really looked into it before. All I ever saw of Scientology was people offering free personality tests in the mall and something about increasing your mind power. But check this out...

It was also the brain child of L. Ron Hubbard who wrote some good science fiction along the way (and some bad) but was clearly a complete fruiter. Wouldn't it be funny that this whole believe was nothing more than a rough draft of some science fiction novel he was writing?
Mr Hubbard was clearly insane, here's one of the excersises you do to achieve Operating Thetan level 5:

i agree that the scientolgy people are quack too cause they tried getting me to work for them and the bloke who was the founder theyve left his chair and that still as it was in his office????? they throw b day partys for him and everything. they are a bunch of sick mother fuckers
Hey - no one these days is perfect. They helped one of my close friends come off drugs. The people we should be worried about are those who run around with explosives blowing themselves up, taking out other innocents in the process, or sick minded individuals who rape small children. Who cares if someone wears a rag on their head, yellow robe or chants wordless sounds in their search to some better life? There are seriously evil really bad nutcases out there who are killing thousands of people in their quest for power. Let's get a bit of perspective on it.

I think it's moronic that one can't state any opinion without someone saying that it's silly to have that opinion because there is so much else wrong with the world.
I was not stating that scientologists are the worst people in the world, just that they are nutcases.

Hey - I love the Simpsons. I saw Nancy Cartwright the voice of Bart Simpson while she was here for her tour a few months ago Sydney. Did you know she is a Scientologist?
I think my comment is borne out of my dislike of the use of the term "nutcase" to describe them. I am not really of the mind as you state in my position. A nutcase means a crazy of foolish person. Does anyone actually know one other than me, so that this can be confirmed that they are all nutcases? That is all I am saying. It is a grouping of a whole lot of people who just happen to believe something (and I have not ever seen what was writtena t the start of this peice before). It is an inflammatory term. And I missed why it even came up on this site? Like what does Scientology have to do with the main topics which I have also looked at. Why are we even bothering? Maybe there is some definition that is some new slang kind of term that I am missing, but that was what really caught my eye. Especially when it attracts comments that they are known to kill. No one is in jail at all from them for such things - I checked my friend and other sources. I do have that much faith in our justice system that killers are brought to justice. They are pretty damn smart sometimes in catching the criminals. Especially wth DNA.
